Lack of creativity
I have been following famous vloggers for a long time and I have concluded one thing, they all copy from each other. The content of their videos is identical, stereotypical and so far I have not come across anyone who is completely different and unique. I’m talking about people who deal with investing on the topic of beauty, lifestyle, fashion.
Starting to be a faithful companion of certain vloggers, I came across the term MUKBANG. I consider myself a fairly informed person but this is the first time I have come across this term. For a moment I felt like I came from the last century, is it possible I don’t know what it is? Below the video is the headline MUKBANG, I see people eating in front of the cameras, showing food, talking while eating and I am starting to be in shock. Does it exist people who like watching someone who is eating?
Sitting with myself in front of the computer watching all these people eating mostly unhealthy food I started to cut out the discomfort as if I hadn’t heard about it, if I had missed something important. The phenomenon of watching roles is so great that I had the impression that these people eating in front of their cameras were watching me and condemning me for not knowing what MUKBANG is. But that’s why, well known Google, that’s where I found the meaning of this term:
A mukbang, also known as an eating show is an online audiovisual broadcast in which a host consumes large quantities of food while interacting with the audience. It became popular in South Korea in 2010, and since then it has become a huge worldwide trend. Varieties of foods, ranging from pizza to noodles, are consumed in front of a camera.
Mukbang is usually prerecorded or streamed live through a webcast on streaming platforms such as AfreecaTV, YouTube, and Twitch. Based on the attractiveness of real-time and interactive aspects, eating shows are expanding their influence in internet broadcasting platforms and serve as a virtual community and a venue for active communication among active internet users.
I still don’t understand why people eat in front of the cameras but if it gives someone the pleasure to watch and if it has found its companions I congratulate you on a great idea. What I would like is for there to be more such videos with healthy food.
